The entertainment industry sees a fresh batch of content hitting theatres and OTT platforms till June 8. This week’s offerings include diverse genres ranging from intense thrillers to light-hearted comedies, catering to a wide spectrum of audience preferences.

Theatre audiences can look forward to Thug Life releasing on June 5. Directed by Mani Ratnam, this film features Kamal Haasan as Rangaraaya Sakthivel, a mafia leader betrayed by his foster son. The plot centers on Sakthivel’s quest for vengeance, exploring themes of loyalty, survival, and familial bonds within the criminal underworld.

OTT viewers have a selection of new shows and movies across major platforms:

* Tourist Family launched on June 2 via JioHotstar. This Tamil comedy-drama follows a Sri Lankan family relocating to India, transforming a quiet neighborhood with their warmth and community spirit.

* Stolen debuted on Prime Video on June 4. The story follows two urban brothers who witness the kidnapping of an infant at a rural train station and pursue a dangerous investigation fueled by moral responsibility.

* On Apple TV+, Stick arrived on June 4, spotlighting Owen Wilson as a former pro golfer turned reluctant coach to a young golfing prodigy.

* Netflix released One Of Them Days on June 4, a comedy about best friends navigating an eventful day packed with eviction threats and unpredictable situations, starring Keke Palmer and SZA.

Netflix also introduced Jaat on June 5, an action drama featuring Sunny Deol, with co-stars Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and Vineet Kumar Singh. The film, following a successful theatrical run, now reaches streaming audiences.

In addition, Mercy For None premiered on Netflix the same day. Based on a well-known webtoon, this Korean noir drama stars So Ji Sub as Nam Gi-jun, a former gangster seeking truth and revenge after his brother’s death.

The third season of Netflix’s Ginny & Georgia also arrived on June 5. The season picks up following Georgia’s arrest for Tom’s murder, unfolding darker storylines and complex family dynamics.

Prime Video brings the romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf on June 6, featuring Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan, caught in a time loop repeatedly reliving the day before his wedding ceremony with Titli, portrayed by Wamiqa Gabbi.

Lastly, Chhal Kapat: The Deception released on Zee5 on June 6. Shriya Pilgaonkar plays Inspector Devika, who investigates a murder at a wedding in Burhanpur, uncovering deep secrets and testing loyalties.
